This is the story of Antonio Amato's family, a passionate farmer and refined connoisseur of the lands and fruits he cultivated in limited quantities in the 1960s, such as the San Marzano tomatoes.

Mr. Antonio had a deep understanding of the biological cycle of the tomato and the secrets of its cultivation. This led him to establish a fruit and vegetable trading business to internationalize the unique flavors and aromas that sprouted in the sunny countryside of that part of Campania (Agro Sarnese Nocerino, between San Marzano sul Sarno and Pompeii), giving life to "Antonio Amato & Sons".

In the 1980s, another company, "Commerciale Export srl", joined the original business, taking on the responsibility of personally exporting its products. Over the years, the increasing demand for higher quality products led to the merger of the first company by the second, which conquered the main markets in France, Germany, and Austria due to its professionalism and production quality.

Today, Antonio's children continue to preserve their father's secrets and cultivate the original cherry tomatoes, San Marzano tomatoes, fennel, and nectarine peaches. The product quality stems from the fact that the raw material is followed from sowing to harvest with all the love and experience that only a century-old farming culture can have. COMEX will monitor market demand and the impact on agri-food product innovation processes to support the full satisfaction of customer needs.
